The Thomas Maier Uniqlo Collaboration You Cannot Miss

My faves over at Uniqlo have done it again! As you know they LOVE a designer collaboration (I mean don’t we all?!) This time round they’ve teamed up with Bottega Veneta creative director & all round Florida cool guy, Thomas Maier. The range is overflowing with transitional holiday pieces in candy hues that your suitcase won’t be able to resist.

As per usual, Uniqlo have managed to take a high-end designer & bring their luxe creations to us everyday mortals. And this time is no different. Think easy-to-wear, casual items that are the perfect travel companions. Just like his namesake label, Thomas’ designs are super flexible, transitioning from day-to-night & season-to-season with ease.

As for the price point? The most expensive piece in the entire range is a super cool $80! And withUniqlo’s guaranteed, long-lasting materials, the quality is certainly second to none. The cashmere is super-soft (no itchiness!), the cotton is airy (no heaviness!) & the swimsuits are silky smooth (no bulkiness!). The bold pops of colour are an ode to Maier’s Miami roots & add a vibrancy which is sure to liven up any wardrobe.

As I write this I am currently sunning myself in dreamy Western Australian & have received many a compliment for my swimwear this trip! He has somehow created swimsuits that honestly feel like a second skin & hug in ALL the right places (& none of the wrong ones). The racey red number also passed the always stringent dive test (definition: does it stay up or not?) so that’s a major box ticked for me!

As for those knits? Casual perfection. These guys have been stuffed down the bottom of my suitcase for most of the trip but came out looking a million bucks. Plus they take take up zero space in my already overflowing luggage. Like I said earlier, he’s nailed vacay essentials 101.
