Happy Valentine’s Day! Whether or not you’re hitting the town with your ladies for Galentine’s or prepping for some one-on-one time with that special someone, this is the date night suit your wardrobe is lusting after. So why not borrow from the boys & get yourself a tailored tux this year…

I am not sure about you, but I am loving the resurgence of the power suit these past few seasons. Who doesn’t love feeling like a boss? Yes, the idea of a matching silk suit can be somewhat intimidating to those who have yet to try it, but trust me, a well-tailored suit is up there in terms of wardrobe essentials. The right suit can do wonders for your mindset… think power, coercion, wealth & talent. All the ingredients for one hell of a fashion recipe & an impressive one at that.

Now let’s talk date night suits. This is where you can get a little creative with colour & texture because, let’s face it, we all like to have a little fun on date night. Unsure of where to start? Well Karen Millen’s well-designed structures and high quality tailoring is certainly a good place to begin. This suit is a playful sway on the classic trend, I love the soft silky texture & stunning maroon shade. The perfect date night dress alternative am I right? It is such a flattering silhouette & does plenty to flatter the female form. The ultimate date night suit.

Speaking of, what did everyone get up to this year for Valentine’s Day? I felt like my instagram feed was absolutely bombarded with adorable couple & girl gang date night photos. This year was VERY low key for me. My partner was away (cheeky!) but a beautiful bouquet of roses turned up at my office which was very sweet surprise. Definitely the first time that has ever happened! I spent my night curled up on the couch with Netflix (anyone else addicted to Outlander?) & Godiva chocolate. Lucky lucky Lisa! Meanwhile, I hope you all had the most love-filled Valentine’s Day! x
