If there was ever a place to get the perfect finishing pieces for your raceday look, without breaking the bank, then Colette by Colette Hayman is for you! The team there know how to elevate an outfit, no matter your personal style, and it’s all luxe for less. Affordable accessories are able to transform your style while still leaving plenty of cash for your bets (just how I like it)!

Whichever raceday you are attending this season there are four absolute essentials when it comes to accessories. Which are almost – if not more – important than your outfit itself. Here are my go-to selections when heading to the races:

1. A Metallic Headpiece

What’s a race day without a statement sitting atop your beautiful head? If you’re not one for big, dramatic hats – or if you prefer something more boho, a dainty headpiece was made for you. Especially in a metallic finish, I love the look of a crown-like headpiece mixed in with beachy waves. It adds something special without being overwhelming or uncomfortable, and I adore this look! Plus, how pretty does the bow look from behind? So feminine!

2. A Matching Clutch

To hold all of your winnings, of course! Other than your cash and lipstick, you don’t need a tonne of extras in your bag at race day so I prefer a clutch or small bag to get me through the day. Something you can easily hold as you dash around the track! My go-to styling lesson when choosing a bag? Pair it to your shoes! It’s a simple way to tie your outfit together without anything clashing. Here, I was all about the neutral tones, and this gorgeous Colette clutch is tonal perfection! Doesn’t that ring detail make give it an ultra expensive feel? Spoiler alert, it retails for only $30! Yep, pretty sure I need this in every colour.

3. Minimalistic Jewellery

I’m a simple jewellery kind of girl, but that doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy stacking on dainty pieces. Since the headpiece was the statement of the day, I chose understated yet stunning items from Colette. The delicate bracelet mimicked the ring design of the bag, so complemented the look perfectly without taking away from the rest of the outfit. And to keep things in the circular family, I added a cool gold ring to the mix. It made my manicure pop, too!

4. Reflective sunglasses

I never head to a racetrack without sunnies & this year I am loving the those with a mirrored lens. Not only do they add a finishing touch to your outfit, they second as a makeup checker throughout the day! Gotta love a two-for-one at the races and these rose-gold babies are perfection.

Cannot wait to see you all trackside this year! Which raceday will you be heading to?
